Say yes to a college speaking event and a baby boy and a remote control car!

BIG day today!! First off, the young lady that I started mentoring in October announced she is expecting a baby boy in July.  Now that is great but there is a story behind this.  The very first time I met with her she asked me how do you choose if you should be a Mom or an executive?  I told her that it’s not for her to decide and that she should openly discuss her thoughts and concerns with her husband and together they should decide and that she can have both it’s not an OR but she will need help in order to obtain both.  Well she was pregnant 2 weeks later, OMG!!!!! I am so happy for them.  Then after work I spoke at the Fairleigh Dickinson University future women business leaders organization and I was so impressed by these young ladies, they asked great questions and I was inspired by them.  Funny thing they asked me if they have to choose between being a mom or an executive and I shared the story about my mentee.  Then after that call Tony and I went to the park with his new remote control car and we played in the park for 30 mins.  YES we laughed and chased a remote control car and we had FUN!!!  This was a perfect day, work, inspiration, a baby and fun in the park!!! All because we said YES!
